|Personal History||Jackson Stone was born on Minos Korva in 2330. His family felt the itch to explore and to live on the frontier. His father started the family on a new colony world that was close to the Cardassian border. Jackson and his brother, Keith, grew up as farmers. The learned to love the land and their home.
As they became teenagers, the twins showed an interest in Starfleet. Jackson was better with tactics and defense while Keith showed more of an interest in Engineering and making things work. Both brothers graduated from Starfleet in 2352 with honors.
Jackson was assigned to the USS Rutledge under the command of Captain Benjamin Maxwell. He began his career as a Tactical Officer. By 2360, he had been promoted to the Assistant Chief Tactical Officer. He had also gotten married and started a family during his off time on his homeworld's neighbor of Setlik III, despite numerous warnings by Starfleet Command.
In 2362, the Cardassians started the Cardassian War by attacking Setlik III. As fate would have it, the Rutledge was the first ship to respond. Jackon's valor in combat earned medals and a field promotion to full Lieutenant and the Chief Tactical Officer of the Rutledge. Despite this, his family had been counted among the victims in what was known as the "Setlik III Massacre."
By 2370, Stone had been promoted to full Captain and had been given his own command. His ship was the USS Gryphon of the Centaur-class. He made a name for himself by attacking Cardassian supply ships and disrupting operations. By the end of the war, he was left with a bad taste in his mouth by the treaty that ended the war. His home had been given to the Cardassians.
His brother, Keith, resigned his Commander rank and Starfleet commission to help form the Maquis. Jackson was an outspoken advocate for the Maquis to be pardoned by the Federation, and it was rumored that he had even helped feed his brother's cell with information and supplies. None of which were proven.
In only three years, Captain Stone's skills were again called upon in war. Captain Stone led the successful defense of Minos Korva against the Dominion and was promoted to Admiral at the war's end. His brother had been killed in action when the Jem'Hadar overran the DMZ in 2373. The new Admiral traded his Centaur in for his current flag ship, the Excelsior-class USS Madrid.
In the 20 years since the Dominion War, Admiral Stone has led the Starfleet monitoring activities of Cardassia. He has vowed to never allow Cardassians to attack the Federation again.
